Exploring the potential of Hybrid Sail Cargo Ships
Can hybrid sail cargo ships become a viable option for more sustainable shipping? On 10 November 2026, the next online edition of Windship Insights will explore their market opportunities, economic viability and environmental potential.
We will present the findings of a potential study commissioned by MARIKO GmbH as a location of the Competence Center GreenShipping Niedersachsen and conducted by MOVE4WARD. The study identifies promising market segments and cargo groups, examines cost and emissions effects, and assesses the opportunities and limitations of wind-powered cargo transport.
Prof. Dr. Jan Ninnemann from MOVE4WARD will present the findings, followed by time for questions and discussion.
